O rock o niente. Non ho mai voluto un lavoro fisso. Mai presa in considerazione quell’eventualità.” (Mick Jones, Pagina 44, Pat Gilbert, The Clash, Death Or Glory; 2007, Arcana Editore).

“I wanted to be in a band and play guitar. That was it for me,” ha dichiarato in un’intervista al Backstage Pass magazine nel 2006.
il primo album in studio dei Clash;
il brano Should I Stay Or Should I Go, scritto da Jones e inserito nell’album Combat Rock.
Nel video, i Clash eseguono Police And Thieves @ Barbarellas Birmingham (1 maggio 1978):
Di seguito, i Clash eseguono Should I Stay Or Should I Go allo Shea Stadium:
Sono circolate molte voci sul significato di Should I Stay or Should I Go.
